Hello All! I caught a little tidbit on the news yesterday morning about winterizing your home. It said before turning on your furnace for the first time to change your filter (which I knew). But they also mentioned that, especially in older homes (like my apartment building) that mold can form on the coils of the furnace. It was suggested that for the first week of use you tape - something - over the vents to catch the mold spores, but still let the air through. That "something" was the part I didn't catch. It looked to me like maybe it was dryer sheets or something. Has anyone else ever heard of this or know what I'm talking about?
